Mangalore, Mar 1: Mandd Sobhann, a city-based premier organization that has been engaged in promoting Konkani and its distinct culture worldwide will stage its monthly theatre, ‘Krista Khatir’ at Noreen and Ronald Mendonca amphitheatre, Kalaangann, Shaktinagar here on Sunday March 7 at 6.30 pm.
A devotional play based on the true life of martyrs who laid down their life for the glory of Jesus Christ at Nagasaki, Japan, the play is especially staged during the Lenten season. The play is the Konkani translation of Kannada play, Nagasakiya Rakta Sakshiyaru authored by M John Permannur.
M John Permannur will direct Krista Khatir, the two hours duration play along with Arun Raj Rodrigues. This is the 16th play by Mandd drama troupe of Mandd Sobhann.
