Daijiworld Media Network - Davanagere (SP)

Davanagere, Jul 17: The girl had appeared for five out of six PU examinations. Fate snatched her life away just a day before her last examination. Now, her result has been received, and she has got 93.4 per cent in the five subjects for which she had appeared. This is the story of a girl student of Siddaganga PU College at Davanagere.

Anusha was the daughter of Basavarajappa and Manjamma couple from Talikatte in Channagiri taluk. Anusha was the eldest of the couple's three daughters. Her parents are farmers. She was staying in the Siddaganga hostel. In March, she appeared for PU examination but the last examination, English, was postponed on account of lockdown. Anusha returned home just like other students.

In May, her health went through some ups and downs. She was admitted into Manipal Hospital where she was diagnosed as suffering from blood cancer. Anusha was ready to take her last examination on June 18 but lost her life on June 17 due to sudden variations in health condition.

Now her result has come and everyone is surprised at the fact that she got 100 in maths, 92 in Kannada, 91 in physics, 98 in chemistry and 95 in biology. Her parents said that she had dreamt of becoming a doctor. "As she got 604 marks in SSLC, we admitted her into the college at Davanagere. On May 13, she complained of headache and stomach ache. Therefore we took her to Shivamogga and Manipal Hospitals. At Shivamogga, the corona test was negative. At Manipal, the test result was positive. Within two days, the result changed from negative to positive," the girl's mother said.

After the treatment, she had recovered and had made preparations to write the examination. On June 13, she suffered from headache again and breathed her last on June 17, the teary-eyed parents explained.
