Udupi: Free Health Camp Held for Jeevan Ashram Inmates

Udupi, Mar 4:
“One should take precautions before suffering any diseases, rather than discovering it during a visit to the doctor”, said Dr Girish Gowda, medical officer of Shirva community health centre, on Wednesday March 3.



 

Dr Gowda was speaking after inaugurating a free health check-up camp for the inmates of Jeevan Ashram, Shirva, on Wednesday.  The health camp was organized under the aegis of the social works department St Mary College, and Jeevan Asha Trust, Shirva.
 
Dr J C Miranda, principal, St Mary College, was the chief guest on the occasion.
 
Thomas Barboza, director, Jeevan Asha Trust, presided over the programme.
 
Professors Laxmi Acharya and Savitha Fernandes were also present.
 
MSW students Akshatha, Kavitha, and Sukesh compered the programme.
