Mangalore, Mar 4: U Balakrishna Bhat has been designated as the chief general manager (CGM) of the Corporation Bank, while K Ramdas Prabhu, assistant general manager has been promoted as deputy general manager and B K Divakara as general manager.
U Balakrishna Bhat
Bhat joined Corporation Bank in the year 1977 as an officer and worked in various capacities both in operations and administration. As general manager, he headed various divisions like Integrated Risk Management, Financial Management, Investment & International Banking and Customer Service.
Bhat has won several corporate recognitions both as zonal and branch manager. He was a member of the Chairman’s Club and won SOGian Award for two years. Presently, he handles functions relating to credit policy planning and sanctions, board secretariat and ALCO at bank’s corporate office. He is a graduate in commerce and law and a qualified chartered accountant.
K Ramdas Prabhu
Prabhu joined the services of Corporation Bank in the year 1972 at Davangere – Mandipet. He served the branches at Punja Arcade, Mangalore and Manipal besides head office. He was promoted as executive in the year 1997. He worked at Investment and International Banking Division, Mumbai and Integrated Risk Management Division at Head Office before moving to head the Rajaji Nagar branch at Bangalore. Prior to the present elevation, he was working as assistant general manager at Investment and International Banking Division, Mumbai.
B K Divakara
B K Divakara joined the services of Corporation Bank in the year 1986 as a chartered accountant. He was promoted as executive in the year 1997. He worked at the Inspection and Audit Division and Investor Services Department at head office before moving to Bangalore's M G Road branch. Later he worked at the bank's credit division at head office, Investment and International Banking Division and Zonal Office at Mumbai. Prior to present elevation, he was working as deputy general manager in credit division at head office in Mangalore. He is a qualified chartered accountant, ICWA and ACS.
