Udupi: Puthige Swamiji tests positive for coronavirus, hospitalised

Udupi, Jul 21: Sri Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji, head of Puthige Math here, has tested positive for the presence of coronavirus infection. He got admitted into KMC Hospital Manipal on Tuesday July 21 and his treatment is in progress at the said hospital.

The Swamiji was to initiate his annual Chaturmasa Vruta this time at Padigaru Math on Tuesday.

The devotees of the Math and disciples of the Swamiji have offered prayers to the Lord seeking his early recovery.

The Swamiji had opted to get his health condition checked as he suffered from fever. His health condition is stated to be stable.

    Thought I' d better share this. For long many have not known this.
    For us, you know why a Swamiji, means so holy?? Why the word' Swami ' is taken with reverence? For the simple reason that we believe he is above everything and everybody else !! Even God !!! We say Swami Devaa and not Devaa Swami !
    That is the tradition...No wonder it pains us these days when in every nook and corner you find someone calling himself a Swamiji and indulging in all sorts of nonsense.
    For a true believer Swamiji is the ultimate master who shows you the path to ultimate liberation through self realization...

    This virus has clearly shown to all in the world, that there is no differentiation between rich and poor, king and pauper, old and young, man and woman, Brahmin and Koraga, and all are equal in the eyes of God.

    There are many who do not believe in the existence of God... but believe in the virus and take precautions....Right? Wear mask fearing the invisible enemy...
    What ' Eyes of God ' for those who don't believe... Got my point? For them it is the Virus only... There are many who rejoice now saying even God has closed doors owing to the pandemic...So how can he see is their logic.... !
    Those who believe and don't are equal in the ' Eyes of God '?? Point to ponder right?
