Mangaluru, Jul 23: Dakshina Kannada district Congress committee staged protest in front of the district Wenlock Hospital here on Thursday July 23, against the total failure of the state government in regulating spread of COVID in the state.

Many Congress leaders, current and former Congress MLAs and party workers participated. The leaders accused the district administration of sending poor patients to private hospitals instead of extending efficient treatment at the Wenlock Hospital. They said that poor people cannot afford private hospitals. They also said that 19 persons have so far died in the district due to coronavirus infection, and that no proper arrangement has been made a respectable funeral for the deceased.

The leaders said that the people are confused as the government has failed to streamline the process of funeral and warned the government to take suitable steps in this direction at the earliest.

My state of Maharashtra, has the most dubious distinction, of having the maximum tally of Covid19 patients in our nation... A similar protest is required, to highlight the gross inefficiency, criminal neglect, on the streets of Mumbai, Pune, Nashik cities !!!

The Congress netas from Dakshin Kannada district and the enite Karnataka state, should advise their counterparts leaders from my state of Maharashtra, who have the dubious distinction of having the highest tally of Covid19 patients, to conduct similar protests in Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, for utter neglect, failure, lethargy in battling this pandemic !!!!

When supporters let you down, this is what you expect . Disappointing , it was only 26 people. Like I said before umpteen times, Congress supporters are only good at Internet karsevaking with fake ids like Suresh, Ramesh , Gundu etc. Any ground work , no one turns up , and the party has to cut a sorry figure. The Tigers appear next day online bashing and lashing in full glory.

Its better for Cong to merge with JDS and then protest. 25-30 members do not make any impact, except for photo op.

Protest is ok, but no proper mask no social distancing, this is the reason only corona virus has spread.
You are only bad example for the people, and if you are not follow the simple rules and which basis you are protesting. Instead of this get the awareness first and give to the society.

Good the Congress is high lighting the failures of the BJP Govt in the state for its failure to control the Pandemic and the loss of precious lives. With Modi assuring the country of taming the Pandemic in April with the 23 days lockdown and its complete failure, the Yeddy Govt is clueless on how to control the Pandemic and may be following his supreme leader of washing his hands of the Pandemic now that it has gone out of control.

My dear Friends, Protest is not the answer at this time. Questioning what the Govt is not doing is o.k but need of the hour is to what best you can do. Firstly you dont gather together may be to protest or what not. one must stay away from other and Social distancing and wearing a mask is the best help one can do to each other.
God bless all . Educate the people properly so that no one will object on the cremation of the persons who die with Covid.
