Mangalore: MLA Khader Says Budget Ignores Development of District

Daijiworld Media Network—Mangalore (RS/CN)

Mangalore, Mar 5: “The budget has cheated the people of Daksina Kannada district as there are no proposals for new developmental projects in this. Chief minister Yeddyurappa has neglected the demands of this district”, said MLA U T Khader on Friday March 5.

“The chief minister has only touched on sentimental issues, but not on development”, said Khader, in his response to the budget. “There are so many projects proposed for the district which have not been mentioned in the budget. The people of this district have been cheated as importance has not been given to such projects”, he added.

“The projects proposed in the city like Mangala Carnish-ring road project, sky bus or monorail, and synthetic track proposal for Mangala Stadium have not been mentioned in the budget”, he said.

“The people’s demand for several developmental works and expectations from this budget have been ignored showing that the government has only engaged in giving assurances”, said Khader, adding that the budget indicates that the government is anti-people.

Mr.Khader is right.Entire Dakshina Kannada is completely ignored in the Budget.I want to know where are our other M.L.As? Most of them are from ruling party. At least Udipi is better. Even late Vishnuvardhan is luckier than our district in getting funds

Whatever Mr. Khader has told is very true. Projects like Mangala Carnish-ring road project, sky bus or monorail are very important for the development of Mangalore. Hope these projects are implemented in the near future.
