Udupi: Puthige Swamiji maintains continuity of puja routine, disciples relaxed

Udupi, Jul 25: Sri Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji, spiritual head of Puthige Math here, who has been admitted into KMC Hospital Manipal for the treatment of coronavirus infection, is receiving the treatment. At the same time, he has kept up with his puja and prayers routine.

The pictures of the Swamiji performing puja have been coming as solace for the devotees who were concerned about the Swamiji since the news of his sickness spread.

The Swamiji was on the verge of beginning his Chaturmasya annual ritual when he suffered from fever. During tests, he was found to be coronavirus positive. He is under the care of KMC Hospital doctors now.

The Swamiji is getting assistance from his disciples who are seen wearing PPE kits, for his puja. Doctors at the hospital say that the Swamiji is in good health and responding well to treatment. They said that he will remain in the hospital for about a week and assured the devotees and the disciples that there is no need for them to worry about the Swamiji.
