Mangaluru, Jul 27: It has come to light that the packing around the facial portion of the mortal remains of a deceased person was removed in the presence of Congress leaders. This matter has given rise to a controversy. It is said that former minister and MLA U T Khader, was among the leaders who witnessed this transgression.

A video clip which shows the Congress leaders lined up around the body of a person along with some staff wearing PPE Kits and the photo of the face of the body with its covering removed have been making the rounds in the social media. There have been allegations that this is a clear violation of protocol relating to the disposal of the body of coronavirus patients.

This video has been uploaded in the Facebook page of Khader's fans. It is learnt that this incident happened on Friday at the graveyard at Boloor. The mother of a Congress worker had lost life. She was corona positive. Former MLC Ivan D'Souza and some other party leaders had visited the graveyard at Boloor. On that occasion the body was placed on the ground. The video shows the people having the last glimpse of the lady with the cover over her face having been removed, following which the body is showed being taken away.

As per rules, cover enveloping the lifeless body cannot be removed. Assistant commissioner here, Madan Mohan, said he will look into the incident.

    The mother of a Congress worker had lost life. She was corona positive. This is sad enough. Again to make problems by not following SOP is still unacceptable.
    BJP has been setting precedence to this type of breach of guidelines. All others imitate. Rules for ordinary citizens.
    When one swamiji dies two thousand people flocked together at the last rites when the rule allowed only 50 people. So, how do we address these issues without being communal?

    When you see something wrong condemn it don't justify with other examples. Today's reason for high corona cases is made people to travel from a high-risk areas to all over India. They will pay for every karma.

    Corona Covid 19 Rules apply only to NON RULING PARTY people and to us common citizens. Ruling party can have any program flouting all the rules of the Covid 19.
    Why make a big hue and cry about this while rallies, birthday parties etc are held without following safety norms with BJP Leaders and ministers involved.
    May be Dist Administration and Dist Heal Officials can wrap the body with usual plastics and the face with transparent plastic, so as to permit family members to have a last look at their loved ones before being cremated or buried.

    4 out of every 10 Houses has corona, This days people die not coz of corona, we lose everyone coz of hospital negligence , lack of medical equipment, lack of doctor experience, Now I know why Indian Medical education like MBBS is not valued for the rest of the world,

    UAE and Other middle east countries don't recognise Indian Doctors as Valued until they have experience and practised in western countries for minimum 2 years and have to pass MOH exams ,

    UK , USA and other Major countries Has a protocol to write a exam and pass their syllabus and then they are recognised as Doctors after all the exams. Only God Can save the patients and their lucks, Doctors saving is just a Myth and not a reality

    Your right my friend
    4 out of 10 houses have covid because doctors are bad. Not because people did not wear mask, did not travel, did not get quarantined, did not hand wash, did not maintain social distancing
    We are country of 1.4 billion.... And the reason this population exists is because the doctors in India are par excellence despite have such poor resources and poor facilities and less than 1% GDP reserved by successive govts for healthcare
    We have a lifespan of around 68 years despite 70 percent of our population below poverty line. In places like mangalore ur lifespan is much more approx 75 above. And all this irrespective of having the highest infectious diseases in the world and being the diabetes capital of the world.
    I am sure u were such a good student in school that u were eligible to become a doctor in the US or UK..... and not in India.... So u decided not to become one... Right?

    Be thankful for the doctors who are sacrificing their lives to take care of covid Pts.... Not knowing if they are going to fall sick or die the next day of the same infection. And if u think they are not good enough..... Ur always welcome to volunteer. Cheers

    When congress does it is a prob.
    But when when there are Birthday party kept with no mask , No social distance , Going to celebrate 1 yr.anvisery that is not a prob.
    Now sny death is calculated as corona death with no reason .
    But one there is protocol it also wrong on the these guys to keep the face open .

    When the NCoV-2 can survive and potentially remain infective on plastic, steel and your mobile phone upto 72 hours and on cardboard, paper, clothes upto 24 hours, surely it can survive on body surfaces and body fluids for sometime. There is a reason for covering the dead body and disposing it with great precautions!
