MP woman forced to carry husband on shoulders as punishment

Jhabua, Jul 30 (IANS): In a bizarre incident, a woman resident of Ranwas village under Para police post in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh, was forced to carry her husband on her shoulders as a punishment for her alleged illicit relations with another man.

The video of the incident has gone viral on the social media. In the video, a woman is seen carrying her husband on her shoulders and walking around the village.

The woman's husband had accused his wife of having an extra-marital affair with another man. A panchayat was called and it was decided that the woman will have to carry her husband on her shoulders and move around the village.

A case has been registered against seven persons on the complaint of the woman.

The police said an investigation is underway and appropriate action will be taken once it concludes.

No arrests have been made in the case so far.

This is the second such incident in Jhabua in the past one month.

This is bizarre. Is it myth or reality? Was the woman strong enough like India's Olympic gold medalist to carry a man on her shoulder (a load of at least 75 kg) and walk around the village? Even Jesus had to be helped to carry a wooden cross if the story is correct!!

the whole of North India seems to be proceeding in the reverse gear. The future looks bleak for our country given that the Modi Sarkar turns a blind eye to all such issues by maintaining a deafening silence with the result that people are virtually taking the law into their hands.

South India will be badly affected as we contribute financially to the North and continued instability with such wierd happenings in the north will have a adverse effect on us in the future.

MP is going back to 'Jungle Raj'. People anyway have no trust in our courts and judiciary. The new CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan is busy washing his own dirty laundry dirtying the whole state and no time to be a public servant.
