Mangalore, Mar 11: President of Ullal Jumma Masjid and Syed Mohammed Shariful Madani Darga, Haji U K Monu that the 19th Uroos of the famous Hazarat Syed Muhammed Shariful Madani Darga, which is held once in five years, this year will be organized from April 1 to April 25.
Speaking at the press conference on Wednesday March 10, Haji U K Monu said that this time, the mega Uroos function will be inaugurated by Ullal Kazi, Shaikhuna Abdul Rahman Al Bukhari Tangal. The convocation of Syed Madani Arabic College to be held on April 11, will be graced by A P Abubakker Musliyar Kantapuram, general secretary of All India Sunni Ulema Union and founder of Markaj Sakhafatussuniya and Imam Bukhari of Delhi Jamia Masjid. Governor, H R Bhardwarj, ministers, Janardan Reddy, Krishna Palemar and ML U T Khader will be present at the simple mass marriage function planned to be held on the day, he said.
The social religious and all-religion meets being held from April 15 to 22 will be attended by union minister Veerappa Moily, Rajya Sabha members K Rahman Khan, Oscar Fernandes, Congress leader, Janardhan Poojary, KPCC president, R V Deshpande, working president, D K Shivakumar, ministers, V S Acharya, Mumtaz Ali Khan, opposition leader in the assembly, Siddaramaiah, MLAs, Roshan Baig, Tanveer Sait, Khamarul Islam, N A Harris, Zamir Ahmed, Nasir Ahmed, Abdul Azeem, and several other former ministers, members of the legislative council, religious scholars among others, said Haji U K Monu.
Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will participate in the concluding function to be held on April 24.
