Hassan, Aug 2: As the lockdown was removed by the administration hundreds of people disregarded the rules of social distancing and face mask and thronged the lake to catch fishes.
This incident occurred at Hanemaranahalli of Arakalagud village of the district. As the water level was low in the lake even people from nearby villages got into the lake and tried to catch the fish.
Though the officials were seen running around in the village to caution people of social distancing and urging them to wear a face mask, people did not bother.
More than 100 coronavirus positive cases are being reported in the district every day and ignorant behaviour displayed by the public has caused concern to the district administration.
