Udupi, Aug 3: Swamiji Sugunendra Theertha, who was infected with coronavirus, has returned to Puthige Math after getting cured and discharged from the hospital on Sunday, August 2.

Swamiji shared his experience of the coronavirus infection and how he successfully came out of it.

Giving details of his illness and overcoming it, Swamiji said, "I got infected with coronavirus and got treated at KMC hospital of Manipal for 12 days. I have come back to the Math. Lacs of people are suffering due to Covid-19.

"I have thought a lot about the reason for this infection. When the immunity power decreases in a human being, coronavirus attacks him or her. By increasing immunity, it is possible to keep coronavirus at bay.

"Eat food at the right time and also take proper rest. This kind of lifestyle is mentioned in the Bhagavad Gita also. I could not eat food at the right time due to continuous travel and work pressure.

"Medical experts have advised me to go to bed early and get up early in the morning. My immunity has increased during the treatment for the coronavirus infection. I have felt the same,” he said.
