Several teams belonging to the economic offences wing of the CID raided various spots at Halasur, Rajajinagar, Sadashivanagar, Jayanagar etc. The houses of people who allegedly cheated by not repaying the loans from the above bank are being searched by the officials.

After the fraud running into hundreds of crores of ruplees came to light, the bank's former chief executive officer Vasudev Maiya had committed suicide. Thereafter, the high court had ordered the fraud to be investigated by the CID. CID is handing both the scandal and Maiya's suicide cases.

The size of the scandal is said to be over a thousand crore rupees. The irregularities surfaced after the Reserve Bank of India placed restrictions on the operations of the bank during January this year. It was found that some of the officials had created fake deposits and indulged in large scale irregularities. Vasudev Maiya also was facing the allegationks but on Juliy 7, he committed suicide. In his death note, Maiya had denied any wrongdoing and blamed his former colleagues for the scandal.

I asked a knowledgeable person that while govt has bailed out Yes bank with 40000 crore NPA, why it is not bailing out some of the co-operative banks which are under RBI moratorium having few crore scams, from the 20 lakh crore announced recently, the person replied that the matter does not end there, since, India has more than thousand co-operative banks, having 90% of them with some scam or other

What is illegal, is illegal. We should appreciate the govt and enforcement agencies for taking prompt action unlike previous govts who were not so strict for their own reasons.

Previous governments didn't lift Red Corner Notice for offenders to flee the nation. Nor had it toss bank loans to Tom, Dick & Harry.

This, exactly this will happen with all the banks in India by next year. The central govt is pressurizing banks to give loan, give loan. Once given, there won't be a means to recover it. Very soon most of the banks will be bankrupt. This is the type of governance that has been going on since 2014.

Excellent. Continue seeking votes on the basis of religion, disregard efficiency. India will prosper much more than it was since 70 years. The GDP that was there in May 2014 (8%) will soon be -8%

Keep going India, you are in excellent hands.

Banks should only give loans after getting a collateral security at least 40% more than the loan amount. The collateral should be saleable. There should be physical verification of the identity and address of the loan taker and it should be verified by an officer of the bank from a different state .During verification Aadhaar should be compulsory. "Bank Aarogya Setu" app download should be compulsory and the person should be tracked at monthly intervals.Otherwise one day all" BANK corrupt" will be "BANK rupt"

Hum bhi loote...thum bhi loote...a slogan of 125 years grand old party. In this way corruption entered into veins of people. Difficult to wash it completely.

No ! The slogan (pre-planned) was, 'Itna saal unhone loota, abb hum lootenge' !

Governance with a difference was just an eye wash. Dreams that the 'LOOT' is hidden at Swiss Banks was just an enticement for voters. With dreams of 15L in their bank accounts. Fittingly, PMJDY accounts too were opened. How many ? 40 Crores accounts. For what purpose ? To receive 15 Lakhs ?? On the contrary, account holders were penalized for not maintaining min balance.

Governance with a difference ! Take it !

    'Saithi yermeg 12 Kutte paer-ge'

Here, Bandhumaam is relying on the dead person's video.

The man who was a RS member, despite being immobile and on life support. Couldn't he resign instead of drawing salary of RS member ? What service did he render to be eligible for that salary ? Not only that - since he was a RS member till death, now he will draw a pension for his immediate kin. This is our India.

First Phase UPA 1 was bolstered only by whom you call..
' Saithi Yerme ' or something now ! They were licking his feet and what not to remain in power !
You should write something knowing facts. Amar Singh was a powerful Dalaal you know that? In close contact and knew for sure all Golmaals and also a part of the Corrupt regime... Now for him to come out and say all this Lafdaas and Loot happened under the nose and had the blessings of the Now Tihar Returnee is something... !
It may not mean much to the ' All Seasonal Chors ' though who even now after sinking so low think only to loot and only loot !
