Mangalore, Mar 13: The first year MBA students of AIMIT, St Aloysius College, Mangalore organized a one day orientation programme for select batches of students of  BBM and B Com of St Aloysius College, Mangalore. The aim of the program was to initiate the under grad students of  St Aloysius College to the new campus of St Aloysius College at Beeri, Kotekar.

The inaugural was held at 10 a.m on 11 March. Prof Narahari, the Registrar(evaluation) of St Aloysius College was the Chief guest. In his address Prof Narahari spoke of the excellent facilities which have been created at the Beeri Campus to promote the best Management and IT education. He hailed the efforts by the management of St Aloysius College in setting up this world class campus. He also told the gathered students to avail the facilities for their personal growth and become eventually entrepreneurs.




































Fr Denzil Lobo SJ, Director, AIMIT spoke of the growth of Aloysius College during the last few years culminating into this new campus. He said that the dream of having the world class facilities has been realized within a short span of 3 years. He said that AIMIT is already a leading B-School in India and  the aim is to make it one of the best 10 B-Schools in India within the span of next five years. He also said that AIMIT has been able to attract very good companies this year and that recruitment has been very good. He mentioned that just about three days back NOMURA , Mumbai, selected 8 students from a batch of 30 finance students offering excellent pay package and that Bank of Maharastra, South India Bank  and HDFC had already visited the campus for campus placement and many candidates were selected.

Fr Denzil  spoke of the new campus culture of study where students have been using the library, having group discussions and preparing presentations etc has been initiated and that the library is open up to 11 pm and many students have been using these facilities.

Dr. Shridhar S, Dean, spoke about  the  MBA programme at AIMIT and explained how the course structure under the autonomous scheme has been made very competitive and that choice based credit system would be introduced from the next academic year with two more optionals : Banking and International Business, with the possibility of dual qualification.

The  Valedictory was held at 5 pm. Fr Jeevan Prabhu SJ, Dean (Fin & Admin) was the Chief Guest. Dr Sridhar S, Dean, MBA was present.

The programme was organized by BBC ( Beeri Beautification Committee) under the leadership of Ramya, Ashish and other team members.
