Bengaluru: Coronavirus - Health condition of current, former chief ministers stable

Bengaluru, Aug 5: Doctors of Manipal Hospital here have said that the health condition of the former chief minister B S Yediyurappa and former chief minister Siddaramaiah is stable. 

Siddaramaiah got admitted into the hospital on Monday night after suffering from fever. It was later confirmed that he had contracted the coronavirus infection. Expert doctors have been closely monitoring his health condition and extending necessary treatment, said the chairman of the hospital, Dr Sudarshan Ballal.

In the meantime, Yediyurappa, whose coronavirus infection was confirmed on Sunday, has been getting treated in the said hospital. He has been responding to treatments.

BJP MLA representing Sagar constituency, Hartalu Halaplpa, who recently took over charge as the chairman of Mysore Sales International Ltd, has tested positive for coronavirus infection. In a Facebook message, Halappa informed him about his condition and requested people who had primary contact with him to get tested. His wife, car driver, and a staff member also have been confirmed with the coronavirus infection. Halappa is being treated in a private hospital here.
