I wonder what Rev. Father Augustus Muller would have felt today if he was physically present at the Graduation Day. This Jesuit who had come from distant Germany had planted the seed in a simple manner over one hundred and thirty years ago which now has grown into a mighty tree. From a make shift dispensary that Father Muller initiated dispensing homeopathy medications, today we have a great Medical College and allied institutions including Homeopathy Medical College. Father Muller's Medical College and Hospital is the Flag Ship of the Diocese of Mangalore under the leadership of Rev. Dr. A.P. D'Souza the Bishop of Mangalore.

I have had the pleasure of serving FMCI for nearly two decades as The Governing Board Member and was closely associated with Directors like Father Peter Noronha, Monsignor A.F. D'Souza and Most Rev. Bernard Moras - the present Archbishop of Bangalore. Most Rev. Basil D'Souza was the guiding factor then. I feel happy to find that two junior priests who were then working for FMCI as assistant directors are presently holding key positions at The Institution. Father Patrick Rodrigues as The Director in charge of all operations and Father Stany Tauro as The Administrator of the Hospital. Father Patrick after his post graduation in Health Care in a prestigious College in U.S.A. is rendering yeomen services. The ever smiling Father Denis D'Sa is The administrator of The Medical College. Father Praksh D'Souza is now called is called upon to manage The Homeopathy division.

Fathers Patrick, Stany, Denis, Prakash together with Fathers Vincent Saldanha, Rudolph Ravi D'Sa, Felix Monteiro and Apolinaris Crasta make wonderful team working for the future growth of FMCI.

My good wishes are and will always be with Father Muller's.

    Respectfully submitted by
