Bangalore: Second Death Anniversary of Chiara Lubich Celebrated

Bangalore, Mar 15: The Foculare team organized a programme to celebrate the second death anniversary of Chiara Lubich at NBCLC centre here recently.

A power point presentation was arranged on the life of Chiara and the various events of the year, followed by Holy mass celebrated by Fr Prem of St John’s.

 

In his homily Fr Prem expressed the greatness of Chiara to bring in unity, love and sharing among the people of all faiths across the world based on the teachings of Bible. “Today we are celebrating Chiara’s second birthday in heavenly Maria polis, she is definitely with us in all we do in the name of Foculare”, he concluded.

Maria Voce, president of the Foculare Movement conveyed her message to all the people present. She said Chiara was one of the greatest gifts to humanity and she has touched several people’s lives. The best way to express gratitude to her is by following her footsteps, he added.

A large number of people including teens actively participated in the programme. Carmen of Foculare welcomed the gathering. Mr Rey offered commentary for the power point presentation and explained it clearly

Chiara Lubich’s second death anniversary is being celebrated in different parts of the world including Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Oceania. In India, it is celebrated in Bangalore, Mumbai, Goa, Dindigul, Trichy and New Delhi.
