Mangalore: Police Arrest Two, Seize Revolver, Bullets

The special squad of the superintendent of police, led by sub-inspector Prakash K, arrested two persons and seized a revolver and nine rounds of bullets from them on Friday March 19.


 

Raghuraj Singh, Shrikanth

The arrested persons are Raghuraj Singh Bagel alias Tillu (27) from Bhind district in Madhya Pradesh state, residing at Beeramma Compound near Basavanagudi in Lower Car Street in the city, and Shrikanth (25) residing in Mallappa Compound on J V Road in Marnamikatte in the city, and hailing from Puttayya Ajar Nagar in Gadag.
 
The two were arrested near Patel House area adjacent to Kankanady Railway station.  The police said that they had purchased the revolver and bullets from Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh and had planned to commit a crime with the weapon.



 


The total value of the revolver and bullets is approximately Rs 50,000. A case was registered under the Weapons’ Act in Mangalore rural police station.
 
The police team headed by sub-inspector Prakash K, members Ananda, Rama Poojary, Sheenappa, Chandrashekar, Girish Bengre, Sunil Kumar, Rajendra Prasad, David D’Souza, Mohammad Iqbal, and Shiva Naik conducted the operation.

    These guys might be hit men from outside DK doing contract job of supari for underworld. Or, they could be SRS / VHP goons from outside DK, with sinister motive to kill minorities, and create communal violence
