Kasargod: Man perishes in tipper-motorbike accident, one injured

Kasargod, Aug 18: In an accident which occurred near Paivalike involving a motorbike and tipper truck, a person lost his life. Another suffered injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Aboobakkar (32) from Kayyar. Muhammed Haneef (35) from Heroor B C Road, who survived with injuries, stands admitted into a hospital.

The accident happened near Kalayi bridge near Paivalike on Monday morning. The tipper truck reportedly was moving at high speed when it collided with a motorbike carrying two persons. Both those seated on the motorbike were tossed to the road due to the accident. The locals rushed them to the government hospital in the town. But, Abubakker did not properly respond to the treatment and passed away at night.

Manjeshwar police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
