Kannada Balaga Celebrates Ugadi in Bangkok

Bangkok, Mar 22: The Ugadi party of Thailand Kannada Balaga (TKB) was organized on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Hotel Navotel Lotus Sukhumvit. Ugadi festival is celebrated every year in Bangkok, and since the last eight years, TKB has been celebrating it.

Kannada Koota is active in the region. This is an organization where caste, creed or linguistic affiliations neither matter nor act as hurdles.











President of TKB, Vincy Daniel Pinto, welcomed the guests and the audience. This was followed by the delivering of  Ugadi message by Michael Veigas, a former ETV reporter from Bangalore.

Kids presented cultural programmes on the occasion. Various games were also conducted by Margaret Tauro. Smitha Acharya compered the programme.

The event concluded with delectable dinner.

In addition to many invited guests and members, former presidents of TKB, Ravi, Habib, Mohandas and Vinay were also present at the Ugadi celebrations.
