ABVP to organise 9-day counselling sessions for students


New Delhi, Aug 19 (IANS): The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) will hold a 9-day career counselling programme for the students of Delhi University (DU) from August 20-28. The sessions will be held regularly at 6 p.m. through webinars.

The programme will focus on addressing the career-related queries and emerging opportunities for the prospective, junior undergraduates as well as final year students of the varsity.

The nine-day career guidance webinars will assist students in approaching their career prospects from various subject streams and language courses. The ABVP said that the counselling would be provided by the teaching faculty and research scholars of Delhi University in respect of the prevailing, emerging as well as upcoming opportunities in their respective fields.

The students pursuing studies in various subjects including History, Political Science, Philosophy, Mathematics, courses of Law, commerce and languages like Hindi and Sanskrit and so on can access counsel from the mentors, the North Campus (DU) unit of the student body stated.

Anurag Gautam, State Joint Secretary, ABVP Delhi, said that the number of registrations has been overwhelming.

"We aim to provide a single interface between the experts and aspiring professionals where career-related queries can be addressed accurately. We will see to it that every career-related doubt is addressed in a timely, lucid and effective manner," he added.
