Mangaluru, Sep 1: The magisterial inquiry into the shooting incidents that took place during the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protests in the city which took place last year, concluded on Tuesday September 1.
Udupi deputy commissioner (DC) G Jagadeesha, who had been appointed as the inquiry officer, has heard the final statements of the Mangaluru DC, assistant commissioner, police personnel and 45 people from the general public.
The statement from former DC Sindhu B Rupesh was obtained via video conference. The assistant commissioner submitted evidence on behalf of the former commissioner.

The report of the inquiry will be submitted to the government before September 20. Statements of 416 people were received so far in the inquiry.
