Now, Akhara Parishad vows to 'liberate' Kashi, Mathura

Prayagraj (UP), Sep 7: The Akhil Bhartiya Akhara Parishad (ABAP), the apex body of saints and seers, has decided to launch a campaign to 'free' the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi and the Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura.

A formal resolution to this effect was passed on Monday at a meeting of the Akhara Parishad in Prayagraj.

It was decided that efforts should be first made to resolve these issues through dialogue and if that fails, the saints will seek legal redressal.

The ABAP also appealed to the parties concerned to hand over control over the Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi and the Idgah in Mathura.

The Akhara Parishad has also sought the cooperation of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the Rashtriya Swayamevak Sangh (RSS) in this campaign.

ABAP president Mahant Narendra Giri said that now that the issue of Ram temple had been resolved, the time had come for the "liberation" of Kashi and Mathura.

    Mohammad,

Its historical record that Muslim fanatic Emperor Aurangazeb, destroyed Kashi Temple and constructed Gyan Vaapi Mosque. Holy Jyothirlinga still buried in Temple well. I was re build Queen Ahalya Bai Holkar during British era. To your kind for Hindus Kasshi and Mathura is holiest place like Mecca and Madina.

    Aparna,

with all due respects, you should be aware of the fact that most of the emperors and kings used to destroy places of worship and re-build their place of worship upon it as a symbol of power.

This happened in South India as well where shaiva and vaishnava kings used to destroy and re-build their choice of temples after winning.

By going with this logic, i feel we have so many holy places to be re-built or liberated.
if it helps common man, i am all in for it. but if it is going to pave way for another blood bath, we are already had enough of it i guess. Respects!
