Mangaluru, Sep 22: City police commissioner Vikash Kumar Vikash, addressing a press meet here on Tuesday September 22, informed that four persons have been arrested in connection with the Suratkal heist.

Unknown thieves had entered the flat belonging to Vidya Prabhu in Jardin Apartment Complex at Suratkal on August 17 and taken away Rs 51 lac in cash besides 24 grams of gold ornaments. Vidya had filed complaint about the theft in Suratkal police station.

The names of the arrested thieves were given at Raghu, Amesh,Naveen and Santhosh. Naveen happens to be the secretary of the apartment’s owners association of the said complex. Out of the others, Raghu and Amesh are from Kerala. The police also recovered Rs 30,85,710, 24 grams of gold ornaments, a Hyundai Creta car, and a Pulsar motorbike from the thieves.

The accused and the seized items

The police commissioner explained that Naveen is an ex-serviceman with 15 years of service in the security forces. He had taken voluntary retirement and was working as bar manager. Santhosh was a waiter in the same bar. These two got in touch with two others from Kerala to execute their plan of theft, he said.

The commissioner said that more recoveries and additional arrests are likely in the case. He said that house owner Vidya Prabhu, used to stay in another house nearby and used to visit the flat where the theft took place very often.

Drug case

Relating to the drug abuse case in which dancer-cum-choreographer Kishore Shetty, is an accused, the commissioner said that investigation is on and the police will explore and expose all links connected with the drugs. He said drug test was conducted on the accused and the result was positive. He said that the lady arrested in the case had consumed drugs and was not in a position to speak and therefore, her statement about involvement of others would be taken soon.

The commissioner said that corona test conducted on Kishore and other accused gave negative result. Three teams have been formed to investigate this case, he stated.

It's accountable money not unaccountable. They have produced documents otherwise police will arrest them for not furnishing details. And no body in the appartment knew he is such a worst person. He was there with the police throughout the investigation and took care no evidence was left behind as people trusted him as he was ex servicemen so he was appointed as secretary , after the theft he innocently conducted the meeting in the same appartment stating " we are not responsible for others belongings". Such fake person.

Before blaming it as black money , I'm the person who knows their family from 2 generations . They are one of the most generous and down to earth people and their family has buisness since 30 years. Without knowing the actual fact stop being judgemental about them. They have furnished all details to police and concerned depts about the same. So stop being judgemental. If it was black money no one would had been reported to police.

The head of the family was suffering from cancer and needed huge money for his treatment. So he kept it in house so that they needn't struggle during emergency. It's shameful to suspect a decent , timely incomtax payee to be falsely blamed and consider his hard earned money as black money . How are you so confident that it's black money? Let me tell you to once visit that town and ask about the person. People praise that person infact. Shameful of you Dylan to blame someone without verification of truth.
