There's no going back on terrorism remark: Tejasvi Surya

Bengaluru, Oct 1 (IANS): Refusing to get bogged down by the barrage of criticism over his recent remarks, newly appointed Bharatiya Yuva Morcha (BYM) national President Tejasvi Surya on Wednesday affirmed that there is no question of taking back his "Bengaluru is terrorism hub" remark.

Addressing his maiden press conference after he took over as the BYM chief, Surya justified his remarks and said, "My blood boils when I hear news of people going to police stations and indulging in arson and loot, beating up policemen. I made those remarks in this context."

Training his guns on the Congress, the Popular Front of India (PFI), and the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), Surya alleged that these three political outfits have always looked for opportunity to launch assault on nationalism.

"They work in tandem to weaken our country's security. Whenever nationalists term PFI or SDPI as terrorist outfits, Congress comes out of nowhere and indulges in appeasement politics," he said.

Contending that setting up a permanent office of a premier investigation agency like the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Bengaluru would dismantle the growing nexus of parties indulging in appeasement politics, he said.

Ridiculing the Congress further, Surya said that how can a party, which could not even protect its own MLA Akhanda Srinvasamurthy, protect anyone in this state.

"How can anyone even think that the Congress would protect them," he asked, adding that even Janata Dal (S) leaders did not go and meet a public representative who lost his ancestral house.

Totally useless fellow who has no control over his mouth and senses.
From his first word he spews venom and not fit to be a people's that too youth representative.
My fear all youth under his brigade will be mislead and misdirected.

I would have expected some other youngster MP to lead Yuva morcha.
My party has gone mad these days.

I do not know if its right or wrong. All I can say is a very strong and gusty statement driven with conviction. I would not be surprised if Surya is the next CM or even PM. When you have a spineless opposition led by some old Ramu Kaakas fighting for their own survival, this is what you can expect. Like someone pointed out earlier, Congress party in the state is not taken seriously and has reduced to internet karsevaks.

I tend to agree with your comments. One look at the attendance of recent protests by Congress in DK, you have your answer. Moreover it was obvious during the CAA protest, who fought and faced it and who were just mute spectators preferring to stay at home and bash on the internet with fake ids.

Absolutely,, With the current Congress leadership. Forget Modi , taking on Surya would be a daunting task. I can gaurantee that if Congress in the state has Siddu, Ramanath Rai, Mithun Rai, J R Lobo, Ivan , as faces of leadership , its like giving a 'walk over' to BJP.

Any statements by the ruling party men, ministers, MLAs is widely accepted by all the people and our media. Where are these BJP Leaders while U. P. is recording highest number of rapes and murders. Hathras news is still burning hot and we are talking about Bengalore being Terror Hub. No one is denying that there is a terror thread everywhere. Where there is good, there is always bad to balance it all. But to term our state capital as a terror hub is un-acceptable.
Only if this statement was done by any non ruling party men, what would have been the response of Govt and Media. What world are we living in, I can not imagine.

What is happening in UP is terrorism.
The unabated rapes and killings everyday and depriving the rights of poor and backward class people by the upper caste Hindus and BJP is the new definition of terrorism.

Surya is correct in all his statements. Bangalore has become a terrorist hub. We do not know about Mangalore.... we will come to know only when NIA picks up people from the city.

Regarding the protection of Akhanda Srinvasamurthy, It is government's duty and not Congress's. He should have asked, if the government can not protect one of the MLAs, how can it protect others!!!

People who vote such leeches to power, do realise that these people are baking their chapatis on the fire of hate. Without hate, they have nothing else to remain in the Limelight cos not one bit of work is done. So to stay in the news this is what they do. But do remember, even if you love his hate for others, do remember that the fire he sets on neighbors houses won't take too long till it reaches your households and burns down an entire city and country too. Next time, vote wisely.

Maharashtra government some how controlled corona virus without any corruption and even government instructed all private hospitals for better treatment and last but not the least Maharashtra/Mumbai is one of the biggest slum areas of Asia but still some how they managed to control where as Karnataka totally failed to control the virus because of corruption and non capabilities even private hospitals demanding pay INR 40000 or 50000 per day.
