J&K's Covid tally crosses 76K with 1,093 new cases


Srinagar, Oct 1 (IANS): Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday reported 1,093 new coronavirus cases, pushing the Union Territory's tally to 76,163.

A statement issued by the Information and Public Relations department said 1,093 tested positive on Thursday, 692 from Jammu division and 401 from Kashmir division.

Of the total Covid cases, 58,552 have completely recovered.

1,198 fatalities have been reported so far.

The number of active cases is 16,413, out of which 9,550 are from Jammu division and 6,863 from Kashmir division.
