Ballari, Oct 3: An off the cuff remark made by the district in-charge minister here, Anand Singh, created flutters within the BJP and the general public. The people of the district are debating on what he wanted to convey by his remark

A programme had been arranged as part of the 66th Wildlife Coservation Week at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee zoological park at Kamalapur in Hospet taluk in the district. Minister Anand Singh, speaking on the occasion, said he is unsure how long this government may last. However, he immediately realised the faux pas, and asked the people not to misunderstand his statement.

Many have started speculating as to what could have made the minister to express this opinion. Many are questioning whether the government is on a sticky wicket. Some also wonder whether the minister is indulging in some kind of political maneuvering.

Anand Singh was one of the persons who caused the previous coalition government in the state to collapse. He had resigned, citing demand for the creation of separate Vijayanagara district and disposal of land to the Jindal group.
