Bangalore, Apr 15:  It was a remarkable day to some of the ladies who committed themselves to serve the Lord for the rest of their lives.

Sr Girija, Sr Princy, Sr Lijimary, Sr Sheela, Sr Madhuri, Sr Sherine, Sr Nomita and Sr Usha Therese made their final vows to serve under the banner, “Srs of Poor Handmaids of Jesus”, during the Eucharistic Celebration at Ascension Church, St Mary’s Town, here on Wednesday, April 14.

Dr Bernard Moras, Archbishop of Bangalore celebrated the mass at 10.30 am. He was assisted by many priests as concelebrants. Archbishop Moras in his homily conveyed a thought- provoking advice to all the sisters making their final vows to remain chaste for the rest of their lives as they are serving the Lord.

Parents of the sisters making their final vows, many religious and lay people participated in the holy ceremony.
