Bengaluru: 'JD(S) not at all a political party, uses others to grab power' - Siddaramaiah

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Oct 4: Former chief minister SIddaramaiah on Sunday October 4 hit out at the JD(S) and said that the party habitually piggyback rides on the shoulders of other political parties to grab power, and that he believes JD(S) is not a political party at all.

"JD(S) uses the shoulder of other parties to get hold of power. The party never attains power to rule on its own. According to me JD(S) is not a political party at all. Kumaraswamy used to shed tears in Sira a few days ago. One should say that he will serve the people and seek votes. Instead of that why one should cry while speaking? Kumaraswamy is like this from earlier days also."

He was speaking at the induction ceremony of Kusuma, wife of the late IAS offier D K Ravi, who officially joined the Congress at the KPCC office in the presence of KPCC president D K Shivakumar, Siddaramaiah and former deputy chief minister Dr G Parameshwar on Sunday.

"Sira by-election is being held due to the untimely death of JD(S) MLA Sathyanarayana. During the last assembly election T B Jayachandra was our candidate. However, he came second in the elections. In the last assembly elections, the people of Karnataka did not give clear mandate to any political party. Hence we formed coalition government with JD(S) and made Kumaraswamy as the chief minister. But Kumaraswamy could not save the government."

Attacking chief minister Yediyurappa, Siddaramaiah said, "Yediyurappa spent hundreds of crores in his greed to hold on to power. He gave Rs 25 crore to each MLA and made them resign from the coalition parties and formed his government. He enticed the MLAs with the promise of money and power. Muniratna was the one who had resigned during that time and joined BJP. There was no MLA for RR Nagar for one year. Now the by-election has been declared."

D K Shivakumar said, "We will recommend the list of candidates to the Congress high command in Delhi for the upcoming by-elections. We will not issue any tickets from state. Our high command will declare the name of the candidates. Today more than 100 leaders have joined the Congress party. Thousands of their supporters will also join the Congress. Their entry into the Congress has strengthened the party further.

"Our party does not see whether the person is old or new party member. All are given equal tasks for organizing the party. Whoever works for the party will be given suitable position in local bodies. All those who agree with our ideology have the opportunity to join our party," he said.

The illegitimate marriage between Congress n JDS turned sour, resulting in a bitter, acrimonious divorce !!! Siddaramaiah is accusing JDS of piggybacking, to retain power !!! I demand an explanation, as to why is the Congress party piggybacking, on Shiv Sena, along with NCP, in my state of Maharashtra ????

Get your facts right. It was not acrimonious divorce between Congress and JD(S) in Karnataka that resulted in fall of the govt but your BJP's evil deeds that brought the govt down.

Now are you ashamed to say that and lacing with imaginary adjectives to hide your true face?????????......

If you are getting saffocated to live under congress-Shiv Sena-NCP alliance then show some spine and ask Shiv Sena to step down if you dare then Shiv Sena will show you the eternal way to breathe easy........BRO.............????!!!!!???..FYI, .Bendur is in BJP Karnataka.

Let me clarify. The issue for divorce was Congress had to forge alliance on JDS terms . The Gowda family insisted on all lucrative cabinet births like finance , law and order etc . JDS even had say in allotment of Cong candidates for certain posts. They also ensured the top Cong leaders like Siddu were sidelined and given some non significant posts, so their voice was curtailed. The Gowdas made hay when the sunshined. HDKs 2 sons had their careers in politics launched. One of them even became a movie star. Mrs, HDK contested elections and got some post . Siddu who was sidelined and eventually got a role as the peon Mrs, HDK. Retired and resting Dodda Gowdru relaunched his political career at the age of 90. All this irked the Congress as they were humiliated after all the hard work, So they pulled the rug from under the JDS feat , when saw their boss booted out of Amethi by a lady in the Gen elections.

Says a person, who jumped from JDS to Congress and then later served as peon of Mrs HDK , the JDS leader. Your game is up . Like your big boss, you were booted out of your home constituency , its time for you to find a safe muslim constituency is Kerala.

First explain the word "secular" then give ur comments. If this good for nothing nedderamayya says JDS is not a political party why he became the "chaprasi" between khangress and JDS from 2018 to 2019 around 15 months? That too becoming CM for 5 years. So the power hungry Ness of nedderamayya is more visible than JDS. Because JDS did not go to khangress it is vice versa.

If you don't know the meaning of 'Secular' then you are not fit to be here commenting for any political party. Your 'Chaprasi' remark has no relevance to Sid as he heads and represents the state congress party ????????...... Moreover congress and JD(S) alliance was a secular alliance without compromising thier party principles with equal right, respect, protection and to practice to all citizens irrespective of caste, creed, gender, religion and demography etc as per the constitution.

Going forward voters also should be given the right to withdraw or reconsider their vote in case their candidates switches to another party, same as the party or the candidate has the right to change or ally with other party without voters consent. After all voters voted by the merit of the candidate and the party not to be compromised and benefitting a candidate or party of thier dislike. This is the need of the hour and we should fight for it unitedly.

BJP is a active power grabber and JD(S) is passive power grabber. JD(S) is a secular party in case it has forgotten. So, supporting communal BJP may compromise its party secular principles for power sake and no conditional CM chair while allying with BJP.
