Zainul Ulama M Abdul Hameed Musliyar appointed Qazi for Sunni Jamaat of Udupi

Udupi, Oct 5: Karnataka Sunni Ulama Okkoota state chief secretary, well-known scholar Zainul Ulama M Abdul Hameed Musliyar Mani Ustad has been appointed as the Qazi for the Sunni Jamaat of Udupi. The post was vacant following the death of Tajul Bekal Ustad.

Jamat director U K Mustafa Saadi announced the appointment in a meeting of United Jamaat members held at Manipal Inn on Monday.

The installation ceremony will be held in Muloor central mosque at 10 am on October 10. Sadat, senior Ulamas and Umara leaders will take part. Mani Ustad will be the leader for nearly 100 mosques in Udupi of United Jamaat limits.

A prayer meeting for the departed soul of Shaikhuna Khazi Bekal, who served as district Qazi for 23 years would be held on that day at 11 am. He was appointed the district Qazi in 1997.

In the news conference, United Jamaat president Haji P Aboobacker Nejar, organizing secretary K A Abdurehman Razwi Kalkatta, chief secretary Haji M A Bavu Muloor, Kaup Ustad Ahmed Khazimi, Muloor central mosque president M H B Mohammed, H I Yousuf Sakhafi Kodi, Ashraf Sakhafi Kannangar, Ismael Musliar, Alakebail, Ismael Madani Mavinakatte, Haji Cheriabba Mavinakatte, H B Mohammed Kannangar, Abdur Rahman Saqafi Kundapur, Abdul Latif Navunda, Mansur Maravanthe Abdula, Sattar Navunda, P M Ashraf Anjadi, BSF Rafik, Kundapur Shahaban Hangalur, Mohammed Ali Kodi, Abdul Hameed Addu Muloor, Abdula Azeezu Hajmady, Kasim Barkur, Haji Moidina Gudwila, Ibrahim Tavakkal Uchla, Y B C Bava Muloor, Abbu Haji Muloor, Ibrahim Mani Kolalu, Haji K Usman, Uchila, Ibrahim Ideal Majur and others were present.
