Bengaluru: Schools reopening - Minister Sriramulu to meet experts on Oct 6

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Oct 6: State health minister B Sriramulu will be holding a meeting with the officials of education department, members of Covid workforce and experts on Tuesday October 6.

This meeting is being organized in the light of the union government's decision to allow reopening of educational institutions on or after October 15. The educational department has already prepared a standard operating procedure relating to the opening of schools and managing them in a safe manner. This requires the approval of the health department and the workforce.

Even though the department of Public Instruction has made preparations to reopen the schools, it needs permission from the central government and state health department to go ahead as per its plan. The union home ministry has already permitted the state governments to take stock of the situation after October 15 and take a suitable decision on reopening of schools.

Education minister S Suresh Kumar had written a letter to the health minister seeking his advice on when the schools can be reopened, which classes can be opened first and what support and cooperation can be expected from the community and people's representatives.

Sources said that based on the expert suggestions the government will take the decision on reopening the schools.

You all need approval from health department and experts...then why these departments cant take the responsibilities of paying the school/College fees of the students/look after their safety/medical bills of all ?? Schools/colleges threaten the parents it seems in this pandemic too by saying they'll expel the students from the institutions if they dont pay the fees. If you all open the institutions please ask your experts to refund the fees of those, who do not want to send their wards to school/colleges, which were taken by repeatedly by sending notices and publishing the full names along with their register number in the respective class groups on whatsapp so as to further pressurize the students. Why can't these departments/experts/ministers cant pay to teachers from their accumulated income?
