Talking about Marriage registration, 15 years back, my document writer outside DC office in Mangalore advised me to give 200 Rs in hand of the Marriage registrar when he signs my certificate. I did as I was told ( I believed any Govt office , you needed to grease hands despite your work big or small). When I offered him rolled 2 notes of 100 under the table, he looked shocked and pushed my hand back saying NO NO. I left the place without looking back.

This is to that one good Govt Employee whoever he is. I felt ashamed.

Why single out only these two people, name and shame them?
In India all the politicians and government officials are corrupt.
Even in our own Mangalore, go to any government office and see.
Corruption is rampant be it RTO, or Property Card, Taluk office
or Muda or Corporation everywhere . Who can stop this???

Employees in the land and revenue departments, make a killing, by demanding huge amounts of hard cash to legalize non movable assets !! There are umpteen numbers of " Dallal " who are always around these offices, with due knowledge and approval of those legalizing vital land documents !!! This unscrupulous lady and her sidekick, residences, must be raided by agencies, to unfold the chains of corruption, leading right to the door steps, of the hierarchy in the administration !!!!!

Not surprising at all. Each and every retired Thashildars and Mayors of Mangalore have renovated their houses set up 2-3 storey buildings and given flats for rent. Corporators too are given some crumbs as well as commission or some hafta to keep their mouths shut. You think they can do this in their normal salary . No way man!!!

Nothing new. Small fish's are always caught. Politicians know very well how to channel their commision by keeping their proxis. Their wealth do not swell simply. Even today if you have to call a Govt Surveyor, you will not get dates unless grease the hands of VA and Surveyor. It's become a part of our system since ages. We are also part of it. Like it or not, we all have bribed in some part of our lives to get our work done on time from DL to RTC. We take it lightly.

Issue of RTC should be made completely online, this will bring down corruption. Also a time limited should be set for issue of any document in govt. offices, if not done in time money should be deducted from the officer' salary and given to the applicant!!

Was it a surprise???!!! Most of the Government officials specially Tahsildar's accepting bribes for RTC, Conversion of land and related works. Nexus between Tahsildar, staff, documents writers and petty agents all are involved. Peon to Top Revenue officials aware of the corruption and all are involved in some point of time. If you pay money you will get your work done early or delaying for months and years!!!??? Unfortunately, Lakshmi has been targeted by ANTI CORRUPTION BUREAU OFFICIALS.

I WISH ANTI CORRUPTION OFFICIALS RAID EVERY TALUK OFFICES IN THE STATE OR PANCHAYAT OFFICES TO STOP CORRUPTION. LAND REFORMS ALWAYS HELPED OFFICIALS TO EARN CORRUPT MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Asking for showing newborn baby does not come in the category of bribe. According to them it's called shagun or bakshis. They say it's a tradition and people are compelled to accept it. So what can be done in such a situation?
