Kuwait: ‘Gulf Voice of Mangalore' -Auditions on June 11

Kuwait, Apr 18: After the stupendous  success of ‘Gulf Voice of Mangalore 2008’- a mega Konkani Singing talent hunt show, the ‘Youth Recreation Center’  is all geared up for the  preliminary rounds of GVOM 2010 on Friday June 11, at The Indian Community Girls School Auditorium–Salmiya, Kuwait. 

This competition is open to all Konkani-speaking singers of Mangalorean origin born on or before October 15, 1992 and with valid residence permits in Kuwait.

Six male and female singers each from the preliminary rounds will be chosen for the semi-finals and one male and female singers each from each country will go to Dubai for the finals to contest for the coveted title. 

Vinay Lewis of Kuwait was the winner of GVOM 2008.

    I too agree with Preetham. In 2008 all the details were published much in advance .all those who wanted to audition for GVOM had ample time. Dubai you need to really work hard. The GVOM 2008 was a mind blowing success from the auditions to finals in Kuwait. Very well organised by Mr Louis and Mr Lawrence.
    Wishing Dubai all the best and hoping that the GVOM 2010 acheives greater heights.

    I fully agree with Preetham. Nothing is yet clear about this years GVOM. Everything need to be published in detail before the auditions take place or at least before the semifinals please...

    The Clear picture of GVOM 2010 is not d to the public. The rules, juries, participation by the previous winners are not even published and all the countries are ready for the Auditions. This might lead controversies in later part which might defame the prestigious title GVOM. In 2008, all the necessary requirements were published in well advance of the event. Mangalore Konkans needs to gear up start doing the home work for the success of GVOM 2010.
