Sullia, Oct 8: At around 6.30 am on Thursday October 8, unknown miscreants arrived at Shanthiagara here and fired at a person from the town, causing his death as a result.
The man who was murdered has been identified as Sampath, a resident of Shanthinagara here.
It is learnt that Sampath was named as an accused in the murder of Samaje Kalagi Balachandra, which took place about a year ago.
A gang of miscreants which arrived in a car, opened fire at Sampath before fleeing. An injured Sampath was taken to the government hospital here. However, he is learnt to have succumbed to his injuries sometime thereafter.
