Hathras accused send letter claiming innocence

Hathras (Uttar Pradesh), Oct 8 (IANS): All four accused in the Hathras incident have written a letter to the Superintendent of Police, Vineet Jaiswal, claiming that they are innocent.

In the hand-written letter, the four accused -- Sandeep, Ramu, Ravi and Lavkush, have admitted that they were friendly with the victim and would often talk to her on phone.

They said that the girl's family was not happy with their friendship.

They further said that none of them were at the spot where the girl was beaten.

On the day of the incident, the accused admitted to having met the girl but said that they left the place when her mother and brother objected.

They said that they later came to know that the girl had been beaten by her mother and brother for meeting the accused.

The accused have stated that they have been wrongly framed by the girl's family and sought justice in the matter.

The four accused have put their thumb impressions at the end of the letter.

    People,

This letter is perhaps 'manufactured' by 'Defense Counsel'/ 'Accused's lawyer' to derail Police Investigations.......

If girl was raped or not along with her sexual history will come in the 'Post mortem' report....along with cause of death...

Police should investigate the case on 'Post Mortem' report and 'Forensic report'....not what Rahul says, Priyanka says, Yogi says, Khader says or Ivan says....

    ...Tak...Takk...

Classic example of loopholes in Indian law and how well lawyers manipulate the law to save criminals. This is the trend in India for quite sometime now. Criminals from all walks of life starting from influential politicians to the common man are hoodwinking law are getting acquitted royally for lack of credible evidence.

What a shameful manner in which attempts are being made to cover up this inhuman crime.

The fact that the Govt of UP is involved in this coverup was quite evident with the midnight cremation of the girls body done and sponsored by the UP Govt.

There is just Jungle Raj in UP. Fit case for Army rule as Presidents rule will only be an extension of Yogis rule.

It will be nice if all these central Agencies ED/CBI/NIA/NAU/IB are deputed to UP so that they can investigate all the Rape cases occuring with Impunity and put an end to this menace in UP.

Even after a declaration with video evidence of the victim where she mentioned zabardast and also after naming the accused, some people want us to believe the opposite.

What a story! The adviser or lawyer deserves an award for making perfect story and alibi. Whatever the final outcome, we now know the fate of poor dalits. Just wonder, would the development have been same if the girl belonged to upper caste?
