Bahrain, Apr 19: Karavali Konkans’ Association will hold the preliminary rounds of “Gulf Voice of Mangalore” competition (GVOM), a mega talent hunt show for the Konkani speaking community that is spread all over gulf states at the “Papillon”, first class restaurant auditorium on Friday June 11 at 10.30 am onwards.

The specialty of the GVOM 2010 is that there will be two champions this year, one each from male and female category. GVOM 2010 competition is open to all Konkani speaking singers of Mangalore origin and holders of the residence permit of the Kingdom of Bahrain, who were born on or before 1992.

During the event 12 best singers (6 male and female) will be selected for the semi finals of “GVOM” contest to be held on September 30 in Bahrain. One male and female participant will participate in the finals to be held in Dubai during October 2010.

Registration forms will be available online on www.daijiworld.com which is the official media partner for the entire event of Gulf Voice of Mangalore.

      All the best. Please ensure to conduct the program in Konkani and let it be judged by Konkani speaking judges. This is a Konkani program, and people were disappointed last year when last year's preliminary rounds were conducted in English.
