Ex-Pak Prez shifted to hospital

Karachi, Oct 12 (IANS): The opposition Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has announced that the country's former President Asif Ali Zardari has been shifted to a private hospital here after he felt "unwell".

"Doctors are conducting his medical check-up and necessary medical tests," Dawn news quoted the party as saying in a tweet on Sunday.

Zardari's long-time associate Asim Hussain told the media that the former President was hospitalised due to low sugar level.

The former leader, who is nominated in multiple corruption cases filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), is currently out on bail granted by the Islamabad High Court on medical grounds last year.

Last month, he was indicted in a money laundering, Park Lane properties and Thatta water supply cases instituted by the NAB.
