Mangaluru: Congress demands resignation of Yogi Adityanath over Hathras case

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (ANK)

Mangaluru, Oct 12: A C Vinayaraj, president of the legal and human rights department, district Congress committee, demanded the resignation and political retirement of Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath over the Hathras rape and murder care.

Addressing media here on Monday October 12, Vinayaraj said, "Every citizen has the right to question the government. The district youth Congress president Mithun Rai has questioned Yogi Adityanath, while BJP is taking political mileage by manipulating statements. BJP which speaks about protecting Hindu women has not raised a single word in favour of Hathras rape victim. Not even the district MLAs and MPs have said a word.

"Mithun Rai questioned Yogi Adityanath over the Hathras rape and cremation of the victim in the middle of the night. Is it wrong to question Yogi Adityanath? BJP should answer this. Yogis, saints, pontiffs have a special respect, irrespective of the religion they treat everyone equally and do not have greed for power. But Yogi Adityanath delivers statements which are anti-social, which are already circulated on social media. What is BJP's stand on this? Being a Yogi, can he speak anything anti-social?" he said.

"Yogi Adityanath should learn from Basavanna, Shankaracharya, Madhwacharya and Swami Vivekananda. Questioning is the right of every citizen. If Yogi Adityanath does not want to be questioned by the people, then let him resign and take political retirement and work for the welfare of society.

"Adityanath came to power by promising jobs, maintaining law and order. According to NCRB data, Uttar Pradesh tops in crime rate. Ever since Yogi Adityanath came to power, Uttar Pradesh has witnessed a high number of mob lynching, assault, rape and murder. It has proved that Yogi Adityanath does not have faith in the judiciary. He even withdrew cases against himself after he became the chief minister," he said.

Even i demand Yogi's resignation as he is not fit for leadership in UP.
He did nothing to stop atrocities on women, so called lower caste people in UP,

I think we as people need to be careful not to involve these renunciates/swamis whose aim is to realize self. And when they comes into politics their senses get tainted and their buddhi becomes fickle minded
Unable to focus and achieve neither in material world nor in Spiritual realms

    Sad state of affairs,

When a crime happens in Karnataka and during election campaigns Yogi is the first one to comment law and order in Karnataka. Then what is the problem if Mangalore congress raise their voice against the atrocities on caste based justice by Ruling BJP. Winning elections is not only the criteria to raise the issues, if you stand alone also you can raise issues of entire country.

Every crime committed, in our nation, has to be condemned, the perpetrators must be prosecuted, irrespective of any caste or creed... The blatant double standards, of the Congress and its allies parties, who are creating a hullabaloo only for the Hathras rape and murder victim, and unequivocally maintains a sturdy silence, on numerous other rapes n killings, under their own governments in various states of our nation !! Rajashtan has earned the horrific reputation as a maximum rape state !!! Murders of sadhus continue unabated in Maharashtra and Rajashtan !!!

Guys are you really serious??? Sitting in Mangaluru , being in the opposition , outrightly rejected by locals, and you are demanding the chief minister of UP to resign for a rape? What about the rapes that happened in Kerala and Rajasthan? Would you raise your voice for them? Why so much of kujli for Yogi? No wonder modern youngsters are distancing away from your party and joining traditional rivals.

We have burning issues locally where public needs your support and you turn a dear ear and blind eyes to them. If you prove yourselves here, at least your party may not give a 'walk over' to BJP in the coming elections. Calling a press conference in Mangalore and asking a CM of UP to resign is nothing but a riddiculous joke . Especially coming from 'leaders' whom people of Mangalore or DK have out rightly rejected. In fact veteran Janardhana Baazigar Poojari too tried that stunt in 2014 and today he is sitting a home .
