M'lore: Father Muller Homeopathic College to Celebrate Silver Jubilee Finale on Apr 25

Mangalore, Apr 20: The Silver jubilee finale and graduation ceremony of Father Muller Homeopathic Medical College will be celebrated at the college grounds, Deralakatte, here on Sunday April 25.

Governor of Uttarakhand, Margaret Alva will be the chief guest. Dr Ramjee Singh, president, Central Council of Homeopathy, New Delhi will be the guest of honour.

Bishop of Mangalore diocese, Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza will preside over the function.

    Father Muller's Charitable Institutions - FMCI is a very dear to me having spent a lot of time with the management during my tenure as the Governing Board member for nearly twenty years. It appears as if just the other day Father Muller's Homeopathic Medical College was inaugurated. The memory is still fresh in my mind when at the instance of Dr. Stany Patrao Dr. Davle from Bombay was invited by Father Peter Noronha - the then Director of FMCI for his guidance and advice. I even recall that he stayed in one of the rooms on the ground floor of Fathima Ward. The seed that was sown twenty-five years ago has now grown into a mighty tree. The decision taken then to purchase the property from Chowgles in Derlekatte was indeed a step in the right direction. As I recall thirty eight acres of land was purchased at a reasonable price which today is like a gold mine. I do not remember the previous administrators of this division. However the recent heads of the department - Father Stany Tauro and Father Prakash D'Souza have indeed done excellent jobs. Father Patrick Rodrigues with the fund of knowledge, experience and U.S. qualifications is of course rendering yeomen service to FMCI. My good wishes have always been and always will be with Father Mullers.

    Had it not been for a prior appointment I would have been happy to attend the event on 25TH. instant one of the reasons being the fact that Her Excellency Margaret Alva will be The Chief Guest.
