Udupi, Apr 20: The annual ‘Jaatra’ of the historically famous Sri Vishwanath Temple, Yellur, near here, concluded on Monday April 19.

Around 15,000 devotees from undivided Dakshina Kannada district attended the Ratotsav at the temple premises.  Meanwhile, over 8,000 devotees availed the free food offerings at the temple on Monday afternoon.

Various religious celebrations were held after the Ratotsav by the temple priests and were attended by the people of neighbouring villages, as per a custom followed since long.

Temple priest Pettige Venkataraj Tantri led the worship service along with Kenja Sridar Tantri and Padoor Laxminarayan Tantri.

Temple managing trustee Y Prafulla Shetty, other trustees, office-bearers of temple renovation committee, and devotees of nine neighbouring villages who worship the deity since time immemorial were present on the occasion.
