Los Angeles, Apr 21 (IANS): Former "Baywatch" star Pamela Anderson says she takes "full responsibility" for her financial problems.
The actress owes $493,144 in personal income tax, according to the California Franchise Tax Board, and insists the situation is "driving her crazy", though she is doing her best to resolve the matter, reports accesshollywood.com.
"I take full responsibility and I'm working it all out as best I can. I hate to owe anybody anything. It's driving me crazy, but I'm doing everything I can to solve all that," she said.
She also claims the tax problem has been ongoing, but only recently noticed by the press due to her appearance on reality TV show "Dancing with the Stars".
"You know that's been going on for a while, but it got picked up because when you're in the press I guess they dig around and try to find some dirt. I'm doing everything I can, obviously that's really important to me," she said.
The 42-year-old recently also admitted that she was "embarrassed" by the situation, and took to twitter to clear up any issues.
"I'm not trying to avoid any tax obligation. Certain events occurred, outside of my control which caused this temporary but embarrassing situation. All of my tax obligations will be resolved in the very near future. Love Pamela," she said.
