Mangalore : Advani Should Resign - Janardhana Poojary

Mangalore, Apr 25 (DHNS): ''BJP Leader L K Advani, who faces criminal case in connection with the demolition of Babri Masjid, should resign from the position of Member of Parliament,'' said former Union Minister and Senior Congress Leader B Janardhana Poojary.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Poojary said that Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Sushma Swaraj and Advani were lashing out at former Union Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor. “Though there were no corruption charges or criminal cases against Tharoor, BJP leaders were in a hurry urging his resignation,” he said and demanded that Advani should step down from the position of MP.

‘Sushma the saviour’

Poojary charged that Sushma Swaraj has become a saviour for Reddy brothers, who loot the natural resources and State exchequer in Karnataka.

“Sushma  ensures protection to Reddy brothers, who face several charges including carrying out illegal mining, violating rules, encroaching land, misuse of power and looting the State exchequer. Reddy brothers themselves have admitted in public that Swaraj is their saviour,” Poojary said.

Lokayukta Justice N Santhosh Hegde had filed a 1008-page report on illegal minings being carried out by Reddy brothers in Bellary.

Similarly, several other reports against Reddy brothers were pending before the cabinet. Even the High Court and Supreme Court too had lashed out at Reddy brothers, he said.
“Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa himself had admitted earlier that illegal mining is being carried out in Bellary. However, the same Yeddyurappa later withdrawn all criminal cases pending against Reddy brothers and started protecting them,” he criticised.

BJP leaders, who speak about morality and values, remain silent on the wrongdoings of Reddy brothers, he charged.

Talking about the recent blast near Chinnaswamy Stadium during IPL match, Poojary said that Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, instead of visiting the blast site and taking initiative to speed up the inquiry, went to Singapore and Malasia.

“Let Yeddyurappa reveal as to why and with whom he went to foreign countries even in such a critical situation,” he questioned.

‘Operation Kamala in GP’

Poojary predicted that BJP may launch another Operation Kamala in Gram Panchayat elections too. “They will spend money lavishly to pocket elected members in the GP elections,” he added. Congress Leaders M G Hegde, Harikrishna Bantwal and Suresh Ballal were present.

When he was a KPCC president he openly challenged Deve gowda to have CBI enquiry between Poojary family and Gowda family, for which Deve gowda has now answer. Now take another instance were your very on yeddi is opinion regarding Mr. Poojary when Ullal by elections were going on Mr. Janardhan Poojary has commented against Mr. Yediyurappa regarding the then govt and when the press reporters asked Yedivurappa how do you comment to Mr.Poojary allegations his answer was " I HAVE GOOD RESPECT TO MR.POOJARY HE IS ONE OF THE FEW CLEAN POLITICIANS IN OUR COUNTRY SO I WOULD NOT LIKE TO COMMENT TO HIS ALLEGATIONS" and this interview i have seen in my own eyes in Udaya TV.he has so much confidence that he is not corrupt. Now dont say CBI is under Congress govt because at that time NDA was ruling India.

    Mr Raj,

When Afzal Guru was sentenced, NDA was in power. Why NDA didnt send Afzal to gallows???? Even I am for his hanging and I wanted him hung and chapter closed. UPA didnt appeal against the death sentecne, but waiting for the procedures. If you are that concerned, you can move PIL in the supreme court against the UPA for delaying the ution of Afzal.

Nothing is more cruel to India than NDA releasing terrorist Azhar Masood from jail and Jaswant Singh accompanying him to Kabul with full consent and knowledge of Advani and later Advani going public and saying that he didnt know about Jaswant Singh's mission to Kabul. Whom to trust? Who is better? Is it NDA or UPA??? Mr Advani or Ms Sonia???????

Nothing is further away from truth than the statement 'Those who follow secularism support Sonia and those who follow fundamentalism support Advani'. Ironically Sonia supports fundamentalist likes Afshan Guru and others by not carrying out the court judgement of executing them.
Its for people to decide who is a supporter of fundamentalists now!

    Dear Suphala Shenoy,

I agree with you. You made it a point. But they are following two different ideologies. Mrs Sonia stands for unified, inclusive and secular India where as Advani stands for hate, non inculsive and theocratic fundamental state of India. Those who follow secularism support Sonia and those who follow fundamentalism support Advani. For some Sonia is role model and for some Advani is role model. I have taken your criticism in the right spirit of democracy. Please keep posting.

    Dear Suphala Shenoy,

What do you have to say about Shri Rahul Gandhi - the future, budding prime minister of India? We all know nobody has that kind of charisma, among the BJP politicians. Surely, you are not hinting to us that the land he was born and bred is Italy?

Mr.Poojary dont divert public focus from IPL by showing some nonsense. This is a strategy u people followed since decades. Now the public are clever and everybody knows what is around them.In your long carrier how much you succeded to give a final verdict on pending cases, including babri masjid?Just you cant do that because you lose weapons for the next election. If you have guts, now your government is in power, a final judgement and hang the culprits immediately.let us see where u stand?
Do you know which anniversary will be celebrated next 26 /11/2010?

    Mr Shahnawaz,
You have rightly said that one cannot forget the land in which one is born and bred. It very well applies to Mrs Sonia Gandhi. As for Shri Advani, he was born in Pakistan side of undivided India.

I fully agree with Mr. Poojari on L K Advani. Advani has no moral right to accuse or point fingures at others. He has successfully orchestrated Babri Masjid demolition being in a responsible position and his hands are tainted with muslim blood. He has done nothing but division in society and promoted communal violence all his life. Atleast at the end of his political career and as well as during twilight years of his life let him retire and repent all his atrocities. He has no right whatsoever to find fault with Shashi Taroor or the congress party.

It is todays Poojary's joke.I do not believe only Eddy and Reddy are the corrupt politicians.what about congress and other parties....?all are Gandhis....?I mean to say where is no corruption in India. In world corruption rating,India is having single digit place. It does not mean that only BJP camp is involved....So in my openion,India with out corruption election canot be faced, where the money comes for election......

Any ruling goverment is making money....either state of central.Because of Poojarys loose talks in many occasoins BJP has gained a lot in coastal districts.I believe, compare to other politicians poojary is less........?

Advani is the person who created all the problems for the country. He should be banished from the country for bringing hatred and division in our country.

Mr Poojary is a good leader and good politician. The only drawback he has his loose tongue and he is not diplomatic. He is blunt and some times his loose talks gives his oppenents to criticise him and make his party embarassed. Certainly I would say he is not corrupt like Yeddi and Reddys. He rightly called for the resignation of Mr Advani. Mr Advani is responsible for the hate and devision in the society. His hand is red with blood post Babri Masjid carnagae.

Mr Advani has double standards, when in Pakistan he praises Jinnah and when in India he only criticises him. Advani is born and brought up in Pakistan and I am sure that he has sfot corner towards that country and he still loves that country. How come one forgets the land in which he is born and bred. His infamous ratha yatra spilled and spread venom in the peaceful society. He tore apart the very basic tenets of secular India.

His statesmanship cant be compared to that of Mr Vajapayee. People of India rejected Advanis candidature for the post of Prime minister of India. The steel man is rusting and its high time for him to take permanent rest. I really feel pity for his current status.

    well said Mr Poojary,

Advani could resign because he still hold a post, we cant ask you to resign because you dont hold any post, how clever, nice....

Mr Poojary, while Mr Moily became CM of Karnataka in early nineties Mr PVN was PM and you were most powerful, and you were against he becoming CM, why dont you write a book "How Moily became CM-SMK DCM", and effects of Godman Chandraswami in it.

We all are interested to know what happened under your own nose, than others......

You dont have to write in that book you did not made money by corruption, we know that.....
