Mangalore: Children's Residential Camp by Mandd Sobhann Inaugurated

Mangalore, Apr 25: The nine-day residential children’s camp, “Phulondhith Konkani Thalenthan” organized by Mandd Sobhann was inaugurated at Kalaangann on Saturday April 24. Renowned theatre artist Francis Fernandes Cascia inaugurated the camp. 

In his inaugural address he requested the children to love their mother tongue Konkani and also urged them to exhibit their talent by utilizing the opportunities. He also honoured the trainers of the camp. 









Mandd Sobhann gurakaar Eric Ozario briefed about the camp. In all 44 selected children are participating in the camp and will be taught Konkani language, songs, dances and theatre. 

Valedictory function of the camp will be held at Kalaangann on Sunday May 2. Mandd Sobhann is holding the children’s camp for the 13th consecutive year. 

Mandd Sobhann president Louis Pinto, secretary Rony Crasta and co-ordinator Stany Alvares were present.
