Nithyananda Out of Hospital, Back in Custody

Bangalore, Apr 27: Controversial ‘godman’ Nithyananda Swami, who was kept under observation at Jayadeva Hospital after he complained of chest pain, was discharged Tuesday morning. After remaining ‘under observation’ for over 16 hours at the hospital, the swami was finally out of the hospital around 12.30 pm on Tuesday.

He was taken to the hospital on Monday around 8 pm after he complained of severe pain in the chest. But all his reports turned out to be normal and now the swami is back in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) police.

“He was discharged around 12.30 pm on Tuesday after the treadmill reports were normal. The condition of his heart is good and he is completely fit now. Comprehensive tests were done on him which revealed that there are no complications,” said Dr C.N. Manjunath, director, Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology.

Meanwhile, the CID sleuths took the statement of Lenin Karuppan, the swami’s driver and the complainant in the primary case against Nithyananda. The CID sleuths have not been approached by any victims, as contended by Lenin in his complaint. Nithyananda has been in the custody of the CID police for five days now but no victim has come forward to testify against him though the police had assured the public that their identity will be kept a secret.

Why all the hue and cry over the Swami's sexual activities? As long as he's not raped anyone and if sex was mutual no one should have any problem. After all even Swami"s have sexual desires.
