Mumbai, Apr 28 (IANS): Seasoned TV actor Ronit Roy is now all set to turn chef for a new cookery show called "Kitchen Champion". He says he enjoys rustling up new dishes and wants to be a "poster boy of cooking".
"I'm a major foodie. I love eating and I enjoy cooking. I especially love to experiment with flavours. When I was offered 'Kitchen Champion' there was no way I was going to say no. It's totally different and a very new experience for me and I am looking forward to becoming the posterboy of cooking for women across the country," Ronit said in a press release.
The show will air on Colors channel and is set to begin May end. It will have eleven leading ladies of the channel competing against each other in a culinary challenge.
"'Kitchen Champion' is our latest addition to the afternoon band that we began earlier this year. The show will see television star Ronit Roy as the chef and the host. Along with him viewers will have the pleasure to see their favourite leading ladies prove their mettle in the kitchen as they compete against each other to show off their culinary skills. People will now know, if these ladies who make delicious kachoris, kheers and biryanis on air, can cook in real life or not!" said Ashwini Yardi of Colors.
