State Cabinet Nod for Eight New Nursing Colleges - Udupi gets Three


Bangalore: May 1 (DHNS): The Cabinet sub committee on higher education has cleared proposals for eight new nursing schools in the state. 

The committee headed by Home Minister V S Acharya cleared the proposal here on Friday.
Of the eight, three would come up in Udupi, two in Davangere and one each in Bidadi, Chitradurga and Bidar.

Acharya said intake in these colleges would be 40 in a year. As much as 25 per cent of the seats would be filled by the State Government.

The committee cleared the proposal as per the recommendation from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, he added.
