Late MoS Suresh Angadi's PS given premature repatriation

New Delhi, Nov 4 (IANS) :The Central government on Wednesday approved the premature repatriation of IAS officer Manjunath Bhajantri, the private secretary of former Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi, who succumbed to Covid-19 in September.

Bhajantri, a 2011 batch IAS officer of Jharkhand cadre, has been repatriated to his cadre. He may kindly be relieved of his duties to join back his cadre immediately, said the order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

The DoPT said that the move came following proposal for premature repatriation of Bhajantri.

"The competent authority has approved the proposal for premature repatriation of Bhajantri," the order said.

The recommendation for repatriation of Bhajantri came little over a month after 65-year-old Angadi passed away at the AIIMS trauma centre here on September 23.
