Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 6 (IANS): Kerala on Friday reported 7,002 new Covid-19 cases after 63,384 samples were tested in the past 24 hours, health officials said.
The pattern of new Covid cases continue to remain showing signs of a sort of containment with the test positivity rate hovering around 11 per cent, down from 15 in the past month.
In a statement issued here by State Health Minister K.K.Shailaja it said 7,854 turned negative taking the total cured to 3,88,504, while there were 83,208 active cases.
27 Covid deaths was reported taking the toll to 1,640.
Across the state 3,07,828 people were under observation which includes 21,148 at hospitals.
The state has 636 hotspot areas.
