JD(U) supporters wait patiently, say trends will change

Patna, Nov 10 (IANS): Even as the initial trends were showing the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in the lead, the Janata Dal (United) supporters were claiming that Nitish Kumar will form the government again in Bihar.

While the top leadership in the state was patiently waiting for a clear trend, a few smaller leaders assembled in the JD(U) office, located at the Veer Chand Patel Path in Patna and claimed that Nitish Kumar will form the government in Bihar again.

"Initial trends are not in favour of the NDA, but we believe that the trend will change later in the day," said Abdul Khalid Khan, vice president of JD(U) minority cell.

Khan further said that silent voters are with Nitish Kumar. There is a situation created in favour of Tejashwi Yadav, people of Bihar kept in mind the 15-year 'jungle raj' of the RJD during the voting, and they are apprehensive about that era coming again if the RJD returns to power.

Another leader Surendra Yadav also expressed a similar view and said: "The end result will go in favour of the NDA. Nitish Kumar has worked for all sections, and everyone appreciates this. He has managed to control the crime in Bihar. He was very active in making the road infrastructure, health and other development projects."

As the trends kept on moving back and forth, the leaders of the JD(U) slowly started assembling at the party office in the state capital.

The neck and neck fight between the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan was keeping the supporters of the JD(U) on the edge, but they were patiently waiting at the state party office for a clear picture.
